The Lee County Library welcomes your charitable donation, with a number of valuable ways to contribute.
Support our library endowment funds.
The Lee County Library Foundation administers five separate endowments, which are held and invested by the CREATE Foundation. Funds from these endowments support library programs and activities not covered by our publicly-funded annual operating budget. Donate gently-used books and materials.
Our library welcomes donations of gently-used books for the consideration of adding them to our collection, or for the Friends of the Lee County Library’s Book Shop. The library cannot accept encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest edited collections, textbooks, or severely damaged or soiled books for our collection. Books can be brought to the library’s front desk and submitted to library staff.
The Friends’ Book Shop can accommodate gently-used books as well as other materials, such as magazines in good condition. Friends volunteers cannot accept severely damaged or soiled materials.
A receipt acknowledging the value of your items can be provided with all donations.
Donate gently-used puzzles and board games.
Our recent community puzzle initiative has been wildly popular! We welcome the donation of gently-used jigsaw puzzles and board games. In addition to passive community use, puzzles and games may also be used for a variety of library programs.
Please bring puzzles and games to the library’s front desk and submit to a member of our team. We cannot accept puzzles or board games that are severely damaged, soiled, or that are missing pieces.
Sponsor meals, supplies, or related costs for library events.
Our staff work hard to organize a number of community-focused programs and events throughout the year, and we also participate in library-wide professional development activities as well. If you or your organization would like to sponsor event supplies, marketing costs, or a meal for library staff, please reach out to library administration by email at info@li.lib.ms.us or by phone at (662) 841-9029.
