On Thursday, May 9, the Lee County Library will welcome Dr. Katherine Sharp Landdeck to Tupelo as the speaker for the 2024 Helen Foster Lecture. Landdeck, a Professor of History at Texas Woman’s University, is a Normandy scholar and a Guggenheim Fellow at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and is the author of THE WOMEN WITH SILVER WINGS (Crown, 2021). Landdeck received her PhD from the University of Tennessee.
